Terms of Service — KWise

1. Acceptance

By using KWise (“the platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. What KWise is

KWise is a community tips platform for Kitchener-Waterloo. We aggregate and curate practical local knowledge submitted by the community. Tips are reviewed before publication but are not professional advice.

Nothing on KWise constitutes legal, financial, medical, or housing advice. Always verify important information from official sources.

3. User content

By submitting a tip, you:

Confirm the tip is accurate to the best of your knowledge
Grant KWise a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it
Agree not to submit false, defamatory, harassing, or illegal content
Agree not to post spam, self-promotion, or advertisements without permission

4. Prohibited uses

Scraping or bulk downloading content
Attempting to circumvent rate limits or bot protection
Creating accounts for automated submission
Posting content that violates Canadian law
Attempting to access other users' data

5. Moderation

We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any submitted tip at our sole discretion. Accounts found to be abusing the platform may be suspended without notice.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

KWise is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any tip. Use the platform at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KWise and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

9. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
